Our 2010-2011 show is entitled Our Favorite Things. The 4 musical selections that make our show are:

This year's musical arrangements were written specifically for the Marching Blackhawk Band by Master Sergeant Paul Murtha of Stafford, Virginia. Our drill was prepared by Mr. David Cook of Fairview, North Carolina. The percussion book was written by Mr. Jon Henson of Canton, North Carolina and the color-guard choreography was written by Dr. Kadee Boone Primus of Western North Carolina.
The band consists of approximately 130 students serving as members of the wind section, drum line and color guard. The Marching Blackhawks performs during all home football games and attend various marching competitions during the fall semester. Check the online calendar for practice sessions.
This year the Marching Blackhawk Band will be going to the following competitions:
October 2 - Land of the Sky @ Enka HS
October 16 - Tournament of Champions @ WCU
October 23- TBA
October 30 - Perko Classic @ North Buncombe HS (performing in exhibition)
November 4-7 - USSBA Nationals @ Annapolis, MD
